ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Stu Chandler has traveled the world for over fifty years, with a camera in one hand and usually a cup of coffee in the other. Retired from a career as engineering manager for a global semiconductor company, he now pursues the art of travel: Return from a journey wiser than when you left, prepared to share what inspired you.

As an artist his objective is to capture more than just a pretty picture. He uses photography to create images with a sense of place, interest, moment, drama, beauty. In his words: “I embrace the freedom to shape an image to realize the full potential of a scene, with no apologies” His work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Pittsburgh, in New York City, and Oklahoma City.

He and his wife Lori have lived in the Pittsburgh area since the 1990s, enjoying the rich cultural heritage of Western Pennsylvania with their two children.
